Michelle set up and led our operations in the USA, working with North American companies to develop a global approach to corporate citizenship. Her clients included Abbott, American Express, Becton Dickinson, Brown Forman, Citi, ConAgra, Deloitte, Direct Energy, Grupo Petrotesting de Colombia, the International Center for Alcohol Policies, the International Finance Corporation, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, PepsiCo and Unilever USA.
Previously Michelle worked for The Corporate Citizenship Company in London for three years before relocating to New York. A key project during that time included producing a joint research project by Unilever and Oxfam GB exploring the links between international business and poverty reduction. Prior to joining the company, Michelle worked as a freelance consultant to business, government and non-profit clients including BT and the UK Sustainable Development Commission. After graduating in European Studies and French from Edinburgh University, Michelle undertook an internship at the European Commission in Brussels, and worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She speaks English, French, Italian and some Spanish.She pretends to be English but is really American… and Scottish.
