Revealing the Foundations
As CR becomes more strategic, it can be challenging for companies to balance their desire to give something back to local communities with the need to provide a business-led rationale for investments.
Corporate foundations offer companies an opportunity to allocate a discrete budget and defined focus to their charitable giving. The foundation model, however, is little understood. We undertook this research, funded by the Cabinet Office and CAF, to find out more about corporate foundations - how many there are, how they are used, and how they relate to CR.
The publication and launch of the report attracted much interest and debate. We are now working with CAF on the second phase of the research.
