In his opening address, John Kelly, OBE, Chairman of Gala Coral Group Ltd, and Board member of BITC, spoke of the growing importance of measurement and assessing the impact of community programmes
Workshops led by high-profile organisations then looked at issues ranging from how to identify the community issues that fit the business strategy, to how to engage employees. Alison led the workshop on measuring community investment along with Tesco. She received great feedback from delegates on a practical and challenging workshop that gave them the principles of LBG and its fit with BITC’s Community Mark, guided them through the maze of measuring impacts, and used practical case studies to demonstrate the benefits of measurement.
