Francesca is a senior researcher and acting editor of the publication Corporate Citizenship Briefing.
After my degree, and a stint at The Ecologist, I was keen to work more closely with the corporate world, yet continue to be involved in social and environmental issues. The fact that, via corporate responsibility, business is seeking to make a real difference through positive contributions, responsible activity and careful management is really exciting to me. I see engagement with the corporate sector as an opportunity to bring about real change. Corporate Citizenship is about facilitating those changes, and helping companies to take responsibility for their actions in a very positive way. The way humans operate needs to change significantly, and this company is about advising and implementing those changes. I joined Corporate Citizenship as an intern, and then persuaded them to let me stay!
Past experience: MA in History and Anthropology at Edinburgh University, followed by a year working as a student nurse, then The Ecologist Magazine, and afterwards a few short term research projects, before starting at Corporate Citizenship.
Client history: I have carried out research for Standard Life, Sony, ANZ, DHL, Friends Provident, Britvic and Whitbread.
