ANZ Financial Literacy & Inclusion

Published: 2005

Global Benchmarking Report

ANZ commissioned us to investigate how its efforts to promote financial literacy in Australia perform when benchmarked against efforts made by other leading banks around the world. This report presents the results of our work, which is informed by in-depth analysis of publicly available information about the programs and activities being operated by banks in different countries.

The concept of financial literacy used in this report is based upon “the ability to make informed judgements and to take effective decisions regarding the use and management of money.”

We assessed the programs and activities of leading banks addressing these issues, and benchmarked them using the London Benchmarking Group (LBG) methodology. The LBG helps members measure the full value and impact of their community investment, benchmarking their performance using an increasingly internationally accepted standard.
