Henkel, P&G and Unilever got together “to implement an industry-wide programme to improve the environmental performance of detergents” (Guardian 14 April). Indeed they all went away to implement European detergents industry’s Code of Good Environmental Practice. Well done boys and girls! Let’s put up bunting to celebrate this big, green leap forward.
